Wells River is a village located in the town of Newbury, in Orange County, Vermont, United States. It is situated at the confluence of the Wells River and the Connecticut River. The population of Wells River is around 1,000 people.
The village was originally a center for industry, with several mills and factories located along the rivers. Today, Wells River is more of a residential community, with many historic homes and buildings in the village center.
